A man of humble means with a strong drive set out on a journey in 1993 from his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio to Los Angeles seeking his dream of becoming a well known, well respected choreographer. The momentum of his career went into warp speed over the last three years (2003 2006) when several projects, “You Got Served” film and Fox’s hit TV show SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE crossed Shane’s path. After performing in his hometown talent shows and high school showcases, Shane came to own his talents and abilities at an early age. Watching videos and movies such as Beat Street and Breakin', Shane knew there was only one thing he could do in the future ... DANCE. His passion was inevitable. No more than three months after the move to Los Angeles, Shane began substituting a hip hop class at the Millennium Dance Complex, formerly known as Moro Landis, located in the NoHo Arts District. His class grew from three people to a record high of one hundred and seventy-five people. Shane exclusively teaches at Millennium on Monday and Wednesday nights from 7:45-8:45 p.m. Shane, a multimedia talent, has his hands in many projects at any one time - TV, film, Internet, music videos, workshops, national conventions, and more. Currently, he is popularized by Fox's national hit show SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE reality show where he sits on the panel of three judges with Executive producer Nigel Lythgoe, as well as choreographs for the show. Shane's style is a mixture of many ... You can't put a name to it. "My style is a little bit of everything. One minute it'll be straight dirty hip hop, the next it'll be hip hop with a little pop feel, and next there'll be a little jazz. No matter what, it's always very sexy and aggressive. It's all about movin' your chest and hips in a rhythmic way without losin' the beat and killin' it all at the same time. But put your heart into it and be real," says Shane.
